I use it for business and I have to say I am pretty impressed with the number of great features that were added to a simple voice recorder. Voice activity detector makes it easier to keep your records clean of silence. The only thing I miss is noise reduction as sometimes meetings can get loud.

I initially purchased VR+ because it was the best reviewed iPhone recorder that records in MP3 files. As a recorder, the app functions wonderfully. Quality can be set, and even 64KBPS files sound great. However, the app has two major shortcomings, enough to warrant a two star deducation from the rating. 1) Categories are severely crippled - the app allows you to assign preset icons to recordings. However, those icons also function as categories. Categories should be allowed to be set using text, with icons being supplemental visual indicators of the recordings content. For example, presently, if I want to use a category for recording class sessions for my different classes, I have to use different icons that may or may not be relevant. If instead I could TYPE a category name and assign an icon to each recording, Id be able to organize recordings in a much more efficient way. 2) iTunes file export - as mentioned above, I use the app to record class lectures. This results in long files that are AT LEAST 20 MB in length. The current export options, via email or syncing online to VR+, are not efficient. It doesnt help that background uploading constantly pauses, and only resumes when the app is put back in focus. The ability to copy the files to a PC and email them directly from my email client would be much more efficient than having to wait for my phone to upload them. Fix these two problems, and VR+ will be one of if not THE best voice recorder available for the iPhone.

Been using this App for over a Year... And it been soo hepful to record Anything, and it works great on my iPhone 4. It have Multitasking and File sharing its easy as well. You should get it!!!

Best app on iTunes for recording and uploading also you can upload to Twitter. Been looking for an app that uploads to Twitter & FaceBook!!!! Perfect app I give 10+ star!! Well worth the money!! Thank you for VR+

I bought this so I could record audio as an MP3 and then send via email. It records fine but it will not send the file to email.

Im recording voice auditions in a pinch. For that I need: 1) MP3 export, 2) Ability to rename the file, 3) Ability to edit out fluffs/noises VR+ passes the first 2 with flying colors. But why no edit? At least a TRIM function to trim the start and end of files, like Macs own Voice Memos. I want to be able to hit record on my iPhone, then open a mail attachment, read the copy, then stop. That means I have 5 seconds of dead air at the start. If I could trim, then Id give it 5 stars. Almost perfect.

This application frequently hangs with latest iOS

This used to be the best app for recording interviews, with professional quality sound and ease of sharing via email as well. Since they havent updated it in nearly 4 years, I can no longer rename recordings, have to shut the app down before I can listen to the recording and other annoying crashes since they dont update. Such a shame since its still a great app. UPDATE!!!!

This has not been updated for years. It freezes in IOS 8.1.1. I cant delete old recordings. Its time to look for an alternate tool since this has the potential to use up all your storage.

The recording sounds good, but the app keeps freezing up and have to restart it. Please update!
